Death By Stereo Sued

The band Death By Stereo is being sued for a 2003 incident in which an audience member was killed when he fell from a 3rd story window, along with 5 others. I'm sure the band had a lot to do with it. They must've pushed the people out the window. Yeah that's it.

Toshiba's New 'Minute-Charge' Battery

Toshiba has developed a Lithium-Ion battery capable of being charged to 80 per cent of its full capacity in under 60 seconds. Filling it up takes just "a few more minutes", the company boasted today.Toshiba 'one-minute charge' Li-ion batteryThat's considerably faster than today's Li-ion rechargeables which can take 1-4 hours to reach 80 per cent capacity, and even longer to fill completely.
Toshiba also claimed the new cell offers a greater longevity than today's Li-ion batteries, losing only one per cent of its capacity after 1000 charge cycles, according to the results of its own charge-discharge testing.
I can't wait for the day of never waiting for a battery to recharge. This is going to be some incredible technology.

For the next couple days I'm going to be in Las Vegas most likely not riding this new "Insanity" ride, since it appears to be a death trap. And this is coming from someone that loves rollercoasters. So I'm going to substitute debauchery for rollercoasters. Great plan if I don't say so myself!

Taking a slight detour from the usual mess of worthless links, borderline lame games, and images of women none of us will ever have comes this. I've been asked to push this link on and I'm doing just that.
One of our friendly neighbors north of the border, Darren Barefoot, is participating in a little fundraising event to help fight hunger. It's called the 30-Hour Famine, a World Vision Canada program that fights hunger in the developing world.
"For 30 hours on April 1st and 2nd, I won't eat, as a kind of symbolic gesture of support for the 800 million malnourished and starving people in the developing world. At the same time, of course, I'm raising money," he said.
I'm not going to tie you up and force you to donate money of course, but at the very minimum visit this link. And if you happen to be in the humanitarian mood he's got links to places to donate.

Then there's this whole deal with Anna Nicole Smith at the Australian MTV Video Music Awards, try not to vomit. I still can't figure out how she lost all of her blubber, and neither can Kelly Slater.

This is incredible. Get a car boot? Screw it, remove your wheel and get on with your life. The only problem I see here is that a new tire and rim could potentially cost you more than the tickets. So you better have a ton of unpaid parking tickets. Although that is the reason for the car boot.
