Walk On Water

So somebody has gotten a patent on a device that will allow you to walk on water, and look like a jackass while doing so. Sounds kind of fun though I have to admit. The inventer was quoted saying "It's basically a one-man show, I have drowned a lot of money in this venture." -- drowned?
